Rob has been practicing for over 25 years in various eastern traditions.  Most notably during this time, he spent 8 years in the winter and summer in a zen monastery practicing complete silence and sitting meditation for 18 hours a day following the traditional 90 day korean zen training called kyol che.  He taught for 15 years guiding people in meditation, yoga, qigong, and spiritual direction.  In the last 5 years, he decided to take a sabbatical, to strip all inner constructs and identities of a “teacher” and began to explore/create alternative power structures for transmitting dharma…such as dynamic power hierarchy and surrendered leadership.  He currently is developing a relational practice model called Dynamic Presence that embodies these new structures and insights. Rob lives in New York City balancing his time between his love for “urban cave” yogi practice and working part-time in the modern bustling world of the city.
